How's your summer going?

It was truly an honor to meet and reconnect with so many of you in Tokyo last month🇯🇵

Thank you for taking the time to come see me every time I'm back and sharing your amazing, beautiful energy with me! It makes me so happy to see you GLOW each time ✨

I just returned to Dubai after my recent visit to Japan in June, but I'm already planning my return to Tokyo this summer! ☀️

I’m thrilled to share my upcoming Tokyo schedule, and I recommend booking early to secure your preferred slot before they fill up.

* On some of these dates this time, I'll be only available early in the day (8am-12:30pm)

and later in the evening (after 6pm). Thank you for your understanding 🙏

To reserve your slot, you can simply email me at glowbytomoko@gmail.com or submit your booking request.

Summertime in Tokyo

Summertime in Japan can be quite intense. It's so hot and humid! Tokyo is a walking city and we rely heavily on public transportation, so this combination of heat and humidity can be especially exhausting.

  • Stay hydrated by carrying a water bottle and refill often.

(I like to mix some electrolyte powder into my water if I expect to sweat a lot. It helps replenish lost minerals and keeps me hydrated longer.)

  • Use sunscreen liberally, and reapply throughout the day if you're going outside.

  • Carry a battery-powered fan, which you can find easily at many general stores in Japan. It gives you a relief from sweat and humidity 💦

Despite the weather, Tokyo comes alive in summer with traditional festivals offering music (often with traditional drums), dancing, and community spirit.

These festivals are more than performance, many people wear yukata (traditional casual summertime clothing similar to kimono but easier to wear). You can find arrays of food stalls that offer various foods. Often, you can join the danse (called Bon-Odori) yourself. It's a fun, immersive way to experience Japanese tradition.

Stay in the Know!

Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible next month!

I'm also planning to be back for a longer period of time towards the end of the year.
