A Huge Thank You to Everyone I Met in Japan This June – Tokyo & Kumamoto Retreat

It was truly a pleasure to reconnect with my clients and meet new ones during my recent visit in Japan 🇯🇵

I just returned from my recent visit to Japan, and I'm feeling incredibly grateful for everyone I met and for the opportunity to keep doing what I love every day: sharing my passion and craft around the globe.

My relocation to Dubai will likely continue for another year or two due to family reasons. While I’m away from Japan, I remain committed to spreading my love for Japanese skincare, especially those difficult-to-find, high-quality products rarely available outside Japan. I’ll continue offering my signature facials wherever I go, and am always happy to answer any questions you have about your daily skincare routine.

I'm already planning another visit to Tokyo in August, and will announce my dates as soon as I confirm my schedule.

Onsen Retreat in Kurokawa, Kumamoto, Japan

This time, I had the honor of joining a special retreat in Japan organized by Emmie and Birjiwan at a serene onsen ryokan (a traditional Japanese inn with natural thermal spring baths) in Kurokawa, Kumamoto.

Over the course of six days, I offered my signature facials in a beautiful, traditional ryokan room, and I shared space with incredible women from around the world 🌎

Together, we meditated, practiced yoga, journaled, took part in Ikebana (traditional Japanese flower arrangement) and Matcha + traditional sweets workshops, enjoyed beautifully prepared meals, and soaked in the mineral-rich thermal waters.

This retreat was such a special, transformative experience.

In our busy lives, we often forget the small moments of gratitude, whether it be that small hydrangea blooming quietly in the rain or simple act of kindness from someone at a coffee shop..

We tend to become our own harshest critics, trying to do as much as possible in such a limited amount of time. Sometimes we rush through life so fast we overlook the quiet beauty of nature or kindness we receive from others.

Just pausing to reflect and appreciate what we already have can be so powerful.

This retreat reminded me of all those things. Even as someone born and raised in Japan, I found myself re-discovering the beauty of my traditional culture, the rhythm of the seasons, and the philosophy of 一期一会 (ichi-go ichi-e), the idea that every encounter is unique and will never happen again in exactly the same way, so we must cherish each moment and the people we meet.

This idea resonated deeply with me. I meet many clients every day at my salon, and every single encounter is always special and meaningful. I'm always so grateful and honored that you trust me with your skin, and I hope the experience is something special for each of my clients.

Emmie & Birjiwan are organizing another Onsen retreat next June, and I'm so excited to be a part of it again next year as well.

Tokyo Salon Announcement Soon!

As most of my clients know, I currently share a space within a shared office. It's been wonderful and helpful in maintaining my salon in Tokyo while I'm away, but I've been searching for a space of my own. Somewhere I can offer an even more elevated, personal and relaxing skincare experience for all of you!

I'm excited to share that it looks like I'll be able to announce my new space by the end of 2025!
